7. The Genius
When he was "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, he didn't get very far. He was basically a considered a jobber in that role. Then he became The Genius, an ally of Mr. Perfect. We really didn't know that much about The Genius except that his name told us he was a genius. Wrestlers never lie to us! Right? Even though he was a trained wrestler (and the brother of Randy Savage), he never really made it far in WWE as an in-ring performer. His greatest run was as the ally of Mr. Perfect. Fans hated him because he was an arrogant heel with a name that bragged about his intelligence. He definitely had one of the smartest gimmicks ever in terms of how he was portrayed. Just because he wasn't a top wrestler does not mean he was not a featured performer. He was involved in some huge matches sometimes in the ring and other times just as Mr. Perfect's manager. I always felt like he could have had a career as a manager after his in-ring days were over. His booming voice and the way he was well spoken would have really allowed him to thrive in a managerial role. It didn't happen, but at least we got to experience The Genius.
