6. Damien Sandow
The current smart guy in WWE is Damien Sandow. I'm a huge fan of the guy because he took a while to break through to the main roster after spending many years in developmental trying to find the right gimmick. When he showed up doing the "Intellectual Savior" character it made him stand out from the pack as the kind of cocky heel that we used to see in wresting in the past. Where he's had problems is that WWE simply doesn't know how to book him the right way. They had him beat jobbers or no names for the longest time, then when it came time to make him a more serious character they didn't really know how to pull the trigger. Due to that, he's not even a featured character anymore and that's a damn shame. The potential for this character is untapped. I also think he's pretty good in the ring as he's showed when given a chance against guys like John Cena, so it's just a matter of WWE getting behind the guy and letting him show what he can really do. Sandow can be a big deal in WWE. I hope it happens, but with so many other young talents in the company it may be hard for him to ever break through.
