3. Fritz Von Erich
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H88y72EOROw There are some of you who may not even have heard of Fritz Von Erich. He was a great athlete who became a renowned wrestler, owner and promoter. Indeed, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009. So why is in in this list? He owned, an promoted, World Class Championship Wrestling. It was a tremendous promotion, but on that ultimately became based around using his sons as headliners. Hi sons were great wrestlers, and although his family had more than it's fair share of deaths (theirs story is truly a tragic one) he developed a successful promotion. But as with any wrestling promotion, if you don't adapt, you die. And that was Fritz's problem. He continued pushing himself and his family to the point that the roster began to thin out and the fans began to turn off. Eventually WCCW was sold to Jerry Jarrett because Fritz couldn't change with the times. This should be a case study for all prospective wrestling company owners and bookers. You cannot stand still. You must go with the times.
