WWE: 10 Superstars Who Really Were The Total Package

1. Shawn Michaels

To be the man, you've got to beat the man. And Shawn Michaels certainly achieved that in his passing-of-the-torch match with Ric Flair at WrestleMania XXIV. But even before then, the Heartbreak Kid had established himself as possibly the greatest showman in the company's history. Like Chris Jericho, he was able to mix it with the heavyweights whilst still maintaining a high-flying style. This versatility saw him crowned the company's first ever Grand Slam champion back in 1997. Perhaps more importantly though, he proved his worth on the biggest stage of them all time and time again, earning himself the much-deserved title of Mr. WrestleMania. And similarly to Flair, Michaels delivered the goods over a prolonged period of time. A terrible back injury saw him miss four years of action between 1998 and 2002. However upon returning he arguably performing to an even higher standard during his second stint, which did of course culminate in two outstanding showdowns with the Undertaker, both of which are genuine contenders for greatest match of all time. Thus it's a given that Michaels would be included on this list, and in all honesty and he may well be the most total of packages that the company have ever possessed.
