WWE: 10 Superstars Who Really Were The Total Package

6. The Rock

Another star who lit up the Attitude era was The Rock, and he did it in nearly every way possible. For me, he is perhaps the most charismatic star ever to grasp a WWE microphone. With his plethora of catchphrases, it's easy to get lost in the seemingly endless YouTube compilations of his many highlights, involving other greats such as Chris Jericho, Triple H, Kurt Angle and, uh, "Bob" Gunn. And having talked the talk, The Rock was more than capable of walking the walk. Less of an in-ring technician in the Angle mould, but rather a pure athlete boasting a wonderful blend of power, agility and fluidity. Since returning from Hollywood his bulkier physique has seen much of that speed disappear, but he still remained capable of main eventing WrestleMania. Twice. But still, he will be remembered fondly for his full-time stint where his trail-blazing and eyebrow-raising thrust him onto a level of popularity that I don't think any out-and-out babyface had enjoyed since the glory days of Hulkamania. Thus it was only fitting that the Brahma Bull would defeat his predecessor in the icon vs. icon showdown at WrestleMania X8. When all is said and done, there's a reason they called him the most electrifying man in sports entertainment.
