WWE: 10 Superstars Most Shafted By The Royal Rumble

2.Wade Barrett

wade barrett The bad news for 'Bad News Barrett' was that he was bumped from the advertised Rumble participant list in favour of El Torito. That must be a pretty hard gulp to swallow, the WWE rating a masked midget bull as a better used spot than your new Bad News gimmick. Still, Barrett took the news in good grace, tweeting "I've given up my spot in this year's #RoyalRumble to make way for a WWE legend. It's top secret, but just between us, here's a clue: Voodoo" Barrett was clearly having a bit of fun by hinting it would be Papa Shango, but in truth his exclusion was no laughing matter. Barrett has hardly competed in the last few months, and is trying hard to get his new Bad News gimmick over. An outing in the Rumble would have benefited him tremendously in getting some relevancy again. It's a shame for Barrett. This man is a real talent, he has an entertaining hard hitting ring style and can also cut a great promo. He should be one of the best heels in the business, but with his bad news gimmick he is going nowhere.
