7. Haystacks Calhoun
Standing at 6'4" and tipping the scales at 640 lbs., Haystacks Calhoun laid the groundwork for future ring behemoths such as King Kong Bundy and Andre the Giant. A fan-favorite and celebrated babyface, Haystacks Calhoun possessed phenomenal strength and was - supposedly - discovered by wrestling promoters when he was spotted physically moving his cows on his farm by picking them up and literally carrying them across the field! Unwilling to get by just on his size alone, Calhoun employed a variety of legitimate wrestling holds and possessed surprising technical skill. Lauded as a special attraction, and seldom losing a match, Calhoun is often credited for also being the first to utilize the hillbilly gimmick (later used by many wrestlers that would follow in the decades to come).
"Behemoth" Honorable Mentions: King Kong Bundy, Bastion Booger, One Man Gang, Viscera/Mabel, Tugboat, and Earthquake.
