WWE: 10 Tag Teams That Totally Hated Each Other In Real Life

6. The Rockers

WWE.comWWE.comWhen fans talk of the Rockers, inevitably two things come to mind: Shawn Michaels kicking Marty Janetty through the Barbershop window, and the joke that the least successful member of a tag team is the €œJanetty€ of the group. It€™s an unfortunate label because Marty, when motivated, is nearly as talented as €œThe Heartbreak Kid€. His problem was that his motivation was often lacking. Originally conceived as a rip-off of The Rock €˜n€™ Roll Express, the two first began teaming in Kansas City before moving to the AWA, where they engaged in a length feud with Buddy Rose and Doug Sommers. Their first stint with WWE didn€™t go so well because they lived their gimmick and the hard-partying ways got them fired in short order. They cleaned up their act (a little) the second time around and fit in much better, putting on some great matches with teams like The Hart Foundation and Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. But for all their flawless in-ring chemistry, when the spotlight was off, the partnership was strained, at best. There are stories of the two going weeks without really even speaking, despite never missing a beat when performing. You can probably chalk this one up to guys just tiring of each other after being in extremely close proximity for a lengthy amount of time. They€™ve somewhat reconciled in recent years and even had a few heartwarming reunions in recent years. Janetty has had a rough road from his battles with addiction and HBK has been there to lend a helping hand.
