WWE: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Big E Langston
5. His Biggest Supporter
Backstage alliances are not new phenomenons. It kind of makes sense if you think about it. WWE superstars are on the road together for most of the year. They share locker rooms, matches, and try to entertain each other when things get boring (which apparently happens a lot). One of the more notorious current friendships is that of Triple H and Sheamus. Many people attributed their friendship to Sheamus's push and eventual title reign. Just as many claim that Sheamus's success is the result of backstage politics, many also claim that Langston's push was the result of his friendship with John Cena. Don't let WWE fool you, they may say that Randy Orton or Daniel Bryan is the "face" of the WWE, but John Cena is the one who puts money in their pockets. So obviously he has a huge influence over creative and Vince McMahon. In fact, it was rumored that Alex Riley and Dolph Ziggler suffered setbacks in their wrestling career because of arguments they've gotten into with John Cena. As with anything else heard about the WWE, through the grapevine, who knows what's true and what's a rumor. While Langston is talented, talent has never been a motivation for WWE to push wrestlers. But if John Cena were indeed his friend and supporter, than his current title run makes a little bit more sense.
