WWE: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Cesaro

1. He Has Already Wrestled The Next Ten Years Of WWE Main Events...

Cesaro is a bit like Batman in the sense that he€™s travelled around the globe honing and perfecting his craft and learning from the masters. In fact, several of his regular opponents from this time have also found their way into the WWE. Aside from his recent clashes with John Cena, Big Show, Mark Henry and Sheamus (amongst many others) €“ matches that demonstrate the fluidity of style that Cesaro employs, as well as his ability to gear up for a big match, Cesaro has also faced many of the men that are currently being looked at as the future of the WWE... In another life, The Shield€™s Seth Rollins (who looks to have a BIG future with the company) was Tyler Black, ROH World Champion from 2009 €“ 2010 (he dropped the belt before heading to WWE developmental). In his role as one of ROH€™s top stars, Black clashed with Castagnoli several times and the results were never anything less than totally explosive. Current NXT Champion (and fellow Brit) Adrian Neville, who tasted a lot of success in Dragon€™s Gate, ROH (and elsewhere in the world) as the highflying wrestler PAC, is currently making a name for himself in the WWE. He too has faced Cesaro and also worked very, very well with him. As €˜The American Dragon€™ Bryan Danielson, current WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has battled Cesaro many times. The two have a magical, incandescent chemistry together, which deserves to be seen on the biggest stage in the world. In my estimation, Cesaro is the perfect foil for Bryan as Champion and I sincerely hope WWE booking agrees with me. Besides those examples, if WWE continues to plunder ROH talent for its own roster, then the list is surely only going to get longer. The man himself once claimed that he has €œa PHD in professional wrestling€ €“ it may sound arrogant, but it also happens to be true. Besides, if you DO have a problem with that, Cesaro likely can€™t hear you over the constant €˜Oooooh!€™ sound made by constantly swooning smarks (which is, of course, what he thinks the world sounds like all the time). So, to sum up, if there€™s any justice in the world, Cesaro should continue to be pushed as a major WWE star. Not only does he sell well in international markets, but he is definitely capable of becoming an all-time great world champion when all is said and done. All hail the King of Swing! - CQ

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
