To borrow a phrase from a wrestler of years gone by: it's time. It's Reigns time. For months, Internet sites and wrestling forums have been filled with talk about when The Shield split, what the plans for Roman Reigns are. It's heavily suggested everywhere you look that Reigns was in line for a big babyface push. And after just two weeks of The Shield being no more, those plans look to be coming to fruition. Reigns managed to source one of the biggest cheers in recent times on Raw, when he dismantled the field to advance to Money in the Bank via that battle royal match. Don't be fooled by his past heel existence; Roman Reigns is over as a babyface, and he's destined for glory. And rather than put it off, the WWE should act whilst the fire is still warm, and throw Reigns into a championship reign. There is enough substance for Roman Reigns to become champion without considering the field, but when you factor in his opponents, it just makes it an even smarter decision. Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus can be instantly ruled out of the running - the WWE may as well have put JTG and Jinder Mahal in before firing them after the show. John Cena winning would be a disaster for wrestling fans - and the current landscape of the company - and Randy Orton seems to have lost his relevance somewhat. That just leaves Cesaro and Bray Wyatt - the two men who are perhaps most likely to deny Reigns a famous win. They are the three frontrunners to become only the third incumbent of the title, but Reigns is the one that should be chosen.
