WWE: 10 Things That Must Happen At Money In The Bank

4. John Cena Must Become The Authority's Next Target

Ask most WWE fans what their nightmare scenario is at Money in the Bank, and it will no doubt involve John Cena and two shiny pieces of gold - and a ladder, for good measure. He's been out of the title picture for a good few months now, but for some people, that is still nowhere near long enough. The only question is, if John Cena isn't going to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, what is there for him to do? Usually, the best thing for a guy of Cena's stature is to put over some fresh talent - even though he beat Bray Wyatt twice, it still did wonders for him moving forward. Cena has a lot of negative points, but don't be fooled into thinking he buries people more often than an undertaker (not The Undertaker, of course). He did a really good job working with Bray, but it would be nice to see things take an interesting swerve at Money in the Bank. The sneaky, vindictive approach of Stephanie McMahon has been refreshingly encouraging over the last couple of months, and she has really grown into that authoritative figure the WWE needs on-screen. For years she was in the shadows of Vince (and even Shane) when it came to being the boss, but she is finally in charge - and she's been teasing us with her dislike of John Cena. They tried to make it as difficult as possible for Cena to make the ladder match on Raw (which is questionable, given how he was in a one-on-one match as opposed to a huge battle royal), and he has clearly upset Triple H and Stephanie. So why not have Cena square off against The Authority in the run-up to SummerSlam? It would make for a nice change to see The Authority going after someone people genuinely don't like, and would give them some relevance again. And if they cost John Cena the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank, the foundations would be laid for a compelling feud.
