WWE: 10 Things You Need To Know About Seth Rollins
3. This Swerve Turn Was Also Telegraphed In The Press
At present, the dirt sheets have it that plans have existed for Rollins to turn on Ambrose and Reigns for around four weeks now, either just before or just after the almighty clash between Evolution and The Shield at Extreme Rules 2014. In an interview with James Delow of Behind The Curtain on 15th May at a live event in Newcastle in the United Kingdom, Rollins (who would have been well aware of WWEs plans by then) is, in hindsight, fairly revealing about their programme with Evolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecSeJ5LFlmM From 8.35:
"every week it's being raised to another level I don't know if they're learning a little from us as well, but they're definitely realizing what we bring to the table is something that is a lot different from what they found their success on they want a little bit of the Shield."
And in an interview with Bleacher Report two weeks later on 29th May, Rollins said:
"It's all about picking your targets, you know what I mean? If you pick the right targets, people are going to cheer for you, I guess That's what makes things interesting. Let the people kind of decide for themselves. Especially when you have an audience as educated as ours is now. It's not 1982 anymore. The times have changed. If you don't evolve with the business, you're going to be left behind."
Although apparently discussing The Shields recent babyface turn, the interview took place four days before the big swerve on this weeks Monday Night RAW. Given the language used, its pretty clear that Rollins just couldnt resist giving a little hint to the fans about the near future
