In January 2011, while working in FCW (before its transition to NXT), Rollins won the first FCW 15 Jack Brisco Classic tournament to become FCW 15 Champion. The gimmick behind the title was that every match derived from it had to be contested under 15 minute Iron Man rules the wrestler with the most falls after the expiry of the time limit being the victor. July 2011 saw Dean Ambrose debut in FCW, after the wrestler formerly known as Jon Moxley had been granted a release from Dragon Gate USA. He was instantly put into a feud with Rollins over the FCW 15 title, going to a heated and exciting 0-0 draw in their first match together in the programme, neither man able to pin the other. The second match, considered to be just as good as the first, ran to 20 minutes and also went to a 0-0 draw.
