WWE: 10 Triple H Feuds That Totally Sucked

10. The Ultimate Warrior In 1996

The best way to describe this feud is to say that it was short. Very short. Hunter was a midcarder that was doing the gimmick of an egotistical rich guy that was a jerk to everybody because it fit the stereotype of what some people have of rich people. He was also a performer that was clearly on the rise. He was scheduled to win King of the Ring in 1996. That got changed after he took part in the in-ring hug with Shawn Michaels and the departing Razor Ramon & Diesel about a month before KOTR. At the time of WrestleMania 12, WWE probably felt they could book Hunter to lose this match because he was going to be put over at King of the Ring. That didn't happen. To WWE's credit, they made a big deal out of The Ultimate Warrior's return in 1996. He had been out of the company for about four years and they needed his star power. They booked him in a match with Triple H and it was far from a classic. Hunter was made to look like a total loser. Warrior didn't sell anything including when Hunter nailed the Pedigree in the center of the ring. Warrior dominated the action, won the match in less than two minutes and that was the end of the feud.
