7. WrestleMania 27 The Miz (vs. John Cena)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O20Po-_kyuk To someone's credit, they did a fantastic job of the video package leading up to The Miz's entrance at WrestleMania. It told the story of how he'd always dreamed of being a WWE Superstar, and how the odds were always against him as he clambered through the ranks of the roster. For a few minutes, I felt something for The Miz, and that was a lot more than I'd ever felt for him before or since. And then he came out, clambering again, but this time through a set of giant, inflated letters that spelled "AWESOME". Oh right, it's The Miz. And I'm a selective John Cena fan he can be great on the mic, but he can often be so robotic; he can be a dynamo in the ring, with the right opponent, but The Miz wasn't that. And this was the main event at WrestleMania, so I am most unforgiving. The Miz did NOT deserve to be there, even though he was ultimately a placeholder for The Rock. Someone else could have given Cena a good match, and more intrigue for the fans. Even worse, The Miz has referred to his main-eventing WrestleMania ever since then, as an indicator of his awesome status and reason to be back in the spotlight. It has had the reverse effect, reminding us all of the backstage ineptitude that led to The Miz bursting out from between those huge inflatable letters. It just makes The Miz look even more pathetic, because he never belonged in the main event to begin with.
