WWE: 10 Most Undeserving WrestleMania Wrestlers Of The Last Decade

4. WrestleMania 21 - Christy Hemme (vs. Trish Stratus)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pw9k8Sh3VY This is a case of the Playboy model vs. the wrestler (a 6-time champion at that point, to overstate the differential between women at a time when many on the roster could really wrestle). Christy was gorgeous, and so it was understandable that a company would want to use her from a marketing perspective. Past companies who employed Christy: a burlesque troupe, Hawaiian Tropic sun tan lotion, Bench Warmer trading cards, the "Juggy Dance Squad", Hooters, and the Lingerie Football League. That's not to say that her prior work makes her undeserving, but it certainly makes her undeserving of a match against Trish Stratus at WrestleMania. They told the story that Christy was "trained" to "wrestle" by Trish's arch-enemy, the injured Lita. As we see in the clip, Lita was only able to teach her one move of doom, the Twist of Fate, and the rest was in god's hands - or in this case, Trish Stratus. As Christy enters the arena, Lita distances herself from her protege, a skipping, hair-flipping spectacle. Jerry Lawler makes quips about loving Christy's spunk. She may be spunky, but she can't take a bump, let alone get up thereafter. Trish can barely beat her up convincingly, and does her best to lead Christy through this match. Agonizingly awkward, with Trish setting up every move and overselling the offense like a clown. Why couldn't Melina or Victoria have wrestled Trish instead? Oh right, Playboy. After several 2 counts that look like they should have been 3, we are all relieved of this pain when Trish gets the pin (for which she doesn't even bother holding on for the entire 3 count).
