WWE: 10 Ways To Address Raw Ratings Disaster

7. Develop New Main Event Talent

Dolph Ziggler Could part of the audience rejection of Raw be down to the two main acts - Randy Orton and John Cena? It is a match we have seen headline numerous tv and ppv main events. These guys have dominated WWE for approaching 10 years now, perhaps the audience is just bored and decided to watch something else instead. Who knows, maybe fans turned Raw off, put there Playstation on and played WWE 2K14 with a TLC main event featuring exciting young stars. Logic dictates that the law of diminishing returns means you can only do something so many times. Orton and Cena are perhaps the reason fans lost interest on Monday night. To borrow an old pun, fans have "Cena Nuff". And maybe we can start a new pun, "Randy Ort-off". New main event talent is essential to make Raw fresh and exciting again. To be fair to WWE, the lack of developmental areas make it a tricky thing to do. The new WWE performance center should help. They do however have several guys who are ready right now to try and prove themselves in main events. Dolph Ziggler should be a WWE Champion, no doubt about it. As for Daniel Bryan, yes he did disappointing numbers when they tried him in main events - but I reckon that was more to do with awful booking of the talented star. WWE needs to realize it isn't the mid 2000's anymore. Someone else needs a chance to be the top guy.
