4. Triple H Is The Boss Figure
I think even WWE would acknowledge the similarities between this storyline and the Austin/McMahon saga of the Attitude Era. That's not a bad thing since that storyline was both awesome and it drew in a ridiculous amount of money. The key difference here is simple: Triple H could believably destroy Bryan in a wrestling match. McMahon always had the upper hand in that he played the numbers game. He could combat Austin with Boss Man, Triple H, Taker, and essentially anybody else on the roster that suited his eye. Triple H does the same thing, but he also doesn't need that protection. The reason why fans are experiencing trepidation over the HHH/Bryan match at Wrestlemania is because it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Bryan to lose that match. Plus, I don't care what anyone else has to say, Triple H is one of the best heels going today. His ability to feed off his real-life heat and turn it into storyline vitriol is nothing short of fantastic. Every hero needs their villain, and HHH is playing that villain perfectly. Whether he gets his comeuppance or he proves that Bryan is indeed a B+ superstar, their Wrestlemania collision will be one for the ages.
