WWE: 10 Worst Couples Ever

3. Billy And Chuck

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4mrRVBt71M Wrestling has a long, embarrassing history of homophobia. From Gorgeous George to Adrian Adonis to Lenny and Lodi in WCW, overly flamboyant wrestlers have been pushed as villains mainly because it was heavily insinuated they were gay. The most recent high-profile act of this type was Billy and Chuck who WWE tried to convince us (without ever outright saying it) were lovers. Things started innocently enough when Chuck Palumbo was kicked out of The Alliance. He must have needed a friend, so he joined up with the WWE side. There, he found not just a friend, but a partner in Billy Gunn. Soon after, it seemed that they were even more than partners when they started to wear matching outfits, dye their hair the same color and compete in swimsuit contests against WWE Divas. Yeah, it wasn't very subtle, and it wasn't realistic in the least. They were just used to create cheap crowd heat. And it worked for the most part. WWE went so far as to have the two get married on air. Billy and Chuck nearly tied the knot, when at the last moment they revealed it had all been a work by their stylist Rico Constantino. They were just two boring straight dudes. They then explained they weren't gay by using the old Seinfeld line "Not that there's anything wrong with that," even though by that time it was already played out by a few years. Unlike some others on this list, Billy and Chuck had a peaceful separation. But it's really unfortunate for everyone involved that they were put together in the first place.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
