WWE: 10 Worst WrestleMania Matches In History

7. The Undertaker vs. Giant Gonzales - WrestleMania IX

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT-oS79P-9Q With over 20 years of WrestleMania experience under his belt, it was always likely the Undertaker would have a few duds along the way. Everybody knows Vince's apparent 'obsession' with big men and for many years of the streak, Undertaker was paired with these behemoths in a battle of the giants. This was no more evident than when he squared off with Giant Gonzales. The elephantine Argentinean was extremely limited in his ring ability, making even the Great Khali look as agile as a cat. While he came through his basketball career and then transition to wrestling with WCW well enough, by the time he came to the WWF he was majorly struggling with mobility and health. Standing a genuine 7 feet 7 inches tall, he towered over even the Undertaker, and wearing an awful body suit with painted on muscles and hair, he resembled something of a freak show. This special attraction match may have been appealing in theory, with Undertaker as the underdog for maybe the first time in his career, but it wasn't long before things became an eyesore. The crowd remained into it, but with Gonzales having one of the smallest movesets ever (only punches, chokes and rest holds) and controlling the majority of the match, it became an unbearably dull affair. Just when the Deadman was gaining the upper hand, Gonzales illegally used chloroform to knock Taker out. An 8-foot giant used chloroform to down his opponent. A heel he may be, but that still boggles the mind. Undertaker would win the match by disqualification, marking it as the sole blemish on his streak with this unnecessary unclean victory. To top it off, the two would actually go on to have a passable match at Summerslam, making this all the more excruciating.
