WWE: 10 Wrestlers You Didn’t Even Realise Are Still On The Roster

5. Curt Hawkins

Making his living as essentially a talking head on WWE Network and DVD releases, Curt Hawkins was actually a somewhat successful tag wrestler in the mid-2000s. Trained by Mikey Whipwreck, Hawkins usually teamed with Zack Ryder as the Major Brothers. They were signed to a WWE contract in 2006 and won several incarnations of the developmental tag belts before being called to the main roster. Still using the name the Major Brothers (Brian and Brett), Vince McMahon personally decided to change their team name when he found out the two partners weren't really brothers. Apparently, Vince thought they were actually related when he signed them and was upset when he found out they were just playing a role. McMahon must have forgotten about the Valients, Andersons, Edge and Christian, and various other teams who weren't actually brothers. In any event, the newly named Hawkins and Ryder were made a part of Edge's La Familia stable and got a fairly sizeable tag push on the Smackdown brand. After the team split, it was all downhill for Hawkins though. He kicked around developmental for a while before landing as a member of the Gatecrashers with Vance Archer. The team accomplished almost nothing and Hawkins moved on to team with Tyler Reks in NXT but still found no success. Hawkins actually got some heat with WWE management over his MidCard Mafia YouTube show, forcing the cancellation of the show and the removal of all episodes. Hawkins hasn't won a televised match since February 2013 and many would be surprised to learn he even has a job.

Mike Shannon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
