WWE: 10 Wrestlers Who Have Suffered The Most Since WrestleMania 29

9. Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger While Cesaro is definitely better off than a year ago, the other Real American seems to be in some real trouble from a booking standpoint. Simply put, Swagger is no longer a threat. When he returned last year with Zeb Colter by his side, it appeared that WWE was all in on his act. Perhaps it was Swagger's subsequent DUI that led the company to sour on him, but he's yet to recover. He lost his shot at the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 29, and looks to be headed to a possible match with Cesaro, and that's even if he makes the show at all. At one time, Swagger looked well on his way to becoming a main-eventer. That now feels like it will never happen. He has firmly settled into the mid-card, and he'll probably be there to stay for the foreseeable future. Cesaro is the one with momentum on his side. The crowds are giving him more of a babyface reaction every week, and management is reportedly high on his potential. This leaves Swagger as just the first stepping stone in Cesaro's push. With such poor booking over the past couple years, it's going to take something big to get Swagger out of the mid-card hole he's currently stuck in.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
