WWE: 10 Wrestling Books You Have To Read

7. Cheating Death, Stealing Life. Eddie Guerrero

51rgctirrvl A fitting memoir that documents Guerrero's problems and his character to overcome them. His love for wife Vickie shines throughout €“ she was his rock, and he talks about falling in love with her and her "cute little a** and legs." It makes for a compelling read to hear about one of the greatest wrestlers of all time travelling through Mexico, Japan, ECW, WCW and the WWE. His drug battles are equally compelling, and it is inspirational to read Eddie overcome these issues and triumph as WWE Champion. Eddie's abuse of alcohol was infamous throughout the industry. He recounts his good friendship with Chris Benoit getting him through those dark years -
"He's such a good friend. He would do pretty much all of the driving, mostly because he was so afraid of me falling asleep at the wheel. I'd sit in the passenger seat with a couple of bottles of wine."
It is an emotional read looking back on what the future would hold for both men. As Vince McMahon says in the foreword to this book, "God bless you Eddie, you'll never know how deeply you touched us all." Viva la raza.
