WWE: 12 Careers You Won't Believe Stars Did After They Quit Wrestling
8. Shawn Stasiak: Chiropractor And Children's Motivational Superhero!
Shawn Stasiak's career almost started out very, very differently: instead of portraying the character "Meat"- love-slave of Terri Runnels who sometimes wrestled with a boner- Stasiak wanted to come in as a motivational speaker named "Fobia." But, of course, this was during the WWF's Attitude Era run by Vince Russo, and somewhere in his mind "child's classroom speaker" became "overly-sexualized boy toy." After a run with the WCW/ECW Alliance in the poorly-executed Invasion angle- that saw Stasiak regularly run face-first into walls, milk trucks, and doors before later claiming to be from "Planet Stasiak"- "The Perfect One" asked for his release and became a chiropractor, working for the Advanced Comprehensive Medical team in Texas. Not content with his new role, Stasiak received his certification in manipulation under anesthesia, which is actually a very big deal in the field. No word if Stasiak uses his matches against Tiger Ali Singh from Sunday Night Heat to induce sleep in his clients. On top of his chiropractic work, Stasiak's career has come full-circle, as the former Hardcore Champion currently tours schools in Texas, giving motivational speeches to children as the character he created for his initial run in the World Wrestling Federation, "Fobia."
