WWE: 12 Most Controversial WrestleMania Moments Ever

10. Sheamus Beats Daniel Bryan In Less Time Than It Takes To Sculpt His Hair - WrestleMania XXVIII

In one of WW's most notoriously baffling decisions to date, the company decided to turn what should have been an auspicious event between Sheamus and fan favourite Daniel Bryan into a ridiculous spectacle for entirely the wrong reasons. The event should be reserved for only the best matches, but WrestleManis XXVIII - which was scheduled to last four hours - started with the ludicrously short bout between the two that probably took significantly less time than it took either of the wrestlers to groom themselves before making their entrances. In what fans could probably only assume was a morality tale about the dangers of taking your eyes off the prize (and sexual promiscuity,) Bryan received a good luck kiss from "girlfriend" AJ before being immediately surprised by a brogue kick from Sheamus, that knocked him flat and allowed the Irishman the quickest ever victory in WWE history. The company ignored the need for a stage-setter, and the fact that fans had paid considerable sums to get access to the PPV, and wanted to see an end to Sheamus' unreasonable status as basically a superhero.
