WWE: 12 Criminal Gimmicks That Should Have Lead To Jail Time
2. Stone Cold Tried To "Kill" Triple H
Crime: Attempted murder. Back in 2000, Triple H needed to take some personal time, so the creative team decided that the best way to grant his temporary need would be for him to be horribly murdered at Survivor Series by Stone Cold Steve Austin, because that apparently wouldn't be as final as it sounded. In the No-Holds-Barred match between Austin and the future boss, the former locked the latter in a car when he tried to escape with the help of the Radicalz, and took revenge on Hunter for masterminding a plan to run him over at the previous year's Survivor Series. Instead of running him over in an eye for an eye deal, Austin instead picked Triple H's car up with a forklift crane and lifted him 30 foot into the air, dropping it on its roof with Hunter inside. Remarkably, Triple H survived the normally fatal smash, and appeared on Raw 15 days later, because apparently he's immortal. Punishment: Life imprisonment.
