http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsWTww8E2P4 Let's be honest here, the One Man Gang is a pretty sweet wrestling name. You already know before you even see him that the guy is going to big, tough, and ready for a fight. Gang was stuck in the midcard in the late 1980s, so the WWF decided that a gimmick and name change was in order. That's when things started getting really ugly. The One Man Gang's new manager, Slick, announced that OMG was actually African and was going to "rediscover his roots". In September 1988, a vignette aired featuring Gene Okerlund on-site in the "deepest, darkest parts of Africa" with Slick. While various people danced around wearing tribal gear, Slick announced that the One Man Gang was now known as Akeem, the African Dream. Akeem then proceeded to speak in a very stereotypical black accent and dance around like an idiot. Thankfully, the One Man Gang returned when WCW came calling in early 1991.
