WWE: 12 Dumb Superstar Name Changes That Made No Sense
4. Chavo Guerrero To Kerwin White
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsfztADiH9M The name "Guerrero" carries a lot of weight in professional wrestling. Chavo Guerrero more than lived up to his family's reputation of being a great worker and showing charisma as a babyface and a heel. However, in June 2005, Chavo was returning from injury and WWE decided that a character makeover was in order. Chavo drove a golf cart out to the ring with dyed blonde hair and dubbed himself Kerwin White. Just when you thought the gimmick couldn't get any more offensive, he debuted his catchphrase of "if it's not white, it's not right." WWE kept the whole thing going by having Kerwin make borderline racist comments to non-white wrestling personalities, particularly Shelton Benjamin. White soon hired fellow list member Nick Nemeth as his "caddy" and bodyguard. Sadly, Eddie Guerrero died shortly thereafter and Chavo went back to the name he should have been using all along.
