WWE: 12 Former TNA & WCW Stars Who Didn't Live Up To Expectations

8. Perry Saturn

Soon after joining WCW Saturn would become a member of Raven's Flock stable, becoming Television Champion during his time there. Saturn would leave the group after standing up to Raven, entering a lengthy feud in which Saturn managed to defeat him to free the Flock group from his control. He then entered a big rivalry with Chris Jericho over the use of his crooked referee Scott Dickinson, eventually being forced to wear a dress for 90 days after being screwed out of a match by the duo, before defeating Jericho in a Dog Collar Match and reuniting with Raven against the Four Horsemen. The two won the Tag Team Championships before Raven got injured, but Saturn would win them back with Chris Benoit, who he went on to create The Revolution with along with Shane Douglas and Dean Malenko. He wouldn't last much longer in WCW after new head booker Kevin Sullivan told him that he didn't believe in his ability to get over with fans. Saturn joined WWE alongside fellow frustrated WCW wrestlers Benoit, Malenko and Eddie Guerrero as a stable named The Radicalz, though the group would branch apart, with Saturn ending up hunting Hardcore Champion Crash Holly. Saturn was then paired with Terri Runnels as his valet and on-screen girlfriend, capturing the European Championship from former team-mate Eddie Guerrero. The Radicalz reunited to defeat D-Generation X at Survivor Series where they also attacked Stone Cold Steve Austin but once again disbanded over the next few months. Saturn would then infamously get repackaged as a man obsessed with a mop that he named "Moppy", eventually falling in love with it. After choosing Moppy over Terri he entered another rivalry with Raven who aligned with his jilted ex, who put Moppy in a woodchipper ending the gimmick. Saturn then suffered an injury and was never seen in WWE again, and in fact would disappear entirely from the public eye years later. Final Assessment: Saturn was a very gifted technical wrestler who despite his short stature had a large frame. He never managed to get either company fully behind him, but the Moppy gimmick was even worse than the temporary dress wearing gimmick he suffered in WCW and is the legacy he is unfortunately remembered for. There is a belief that Saturn's Moppy re-branding was a result of him legitimately attacking jobber Mike Bell in a match, in which case he is responsible for his own downfall.
