6. William Regal

Before anyone freaks out, William Regal is not on the list because he isn't one of the best grapplers to ever come along, because he is. Regal is on this list because WWE used him very poorly for such a long time. Joining the Vince McMahon Kiss my Ass Club was bad enough, but WWE would use Regal the same way they used Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco years earlier. Regal was given a few mid-card titles and a King of the Ring win, but a lot of his time in WWE was spent being made into a joke. Regal may not have minded this kind of booking later in his career. He certainly did his best to sell whatever he was given and he often took terrible segments and made them funny simply by hamming it up a little extra. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW-ylAsnAy0 He even appeared to enjoy some of the more ridiculous segments he took part in, and if you can love what you do then you are ahead of the game. William Regal is a future Hall of Famer for sure, and he will definitely go down as one of the greatest wrestlers to never win the WCW or WWE Championship, but a lot of his WWE highlight reel is made up of embarrassing moments. It's a real shame.
