WWE: 12 Life Lessons From Ultimate Warrior's 'One Warrior Nation'

2. Pray

While a rule like this could be interpreted as exclusionary, since people joining the One Warrior Nation could come from all countries and creeds, Warrior does a decent job of making it inclusive: €œPray and give thanks to whatever Creator you believe in.€ So yes, I guess he€™s excluding atheists, but I get the feeling he wouldn€™t have cared. You€™re in, or you€™re out. As per his usual mandate, Warrior€™s advice for prayer is also somewhat ass-kicking: never pray for help, but you may ask for more challenges. It is up to you, with your human ability to cope, to guide yourself through life€™s journey. Leaving it to a higher power is a waste of time (and an insult to your Creator, who has already given you the ability to cope). From a personal standpoint, I€™d leave this rule out. While Warrior was never one to shy away from controversial statements, he doesn€™t make much of a case for prayer here, and why alienate people who might otherwise buy into your philosophies? I won€™t dispute that belief in a higher power gives a lot of people strength and comfort €“ I have no business talking about whether or not to believe €“ but in this case it feels like a token rule, because €œPrayer€ is often considered part of a holistic lifestyle.
