WWE: 12 Life Lessons From Ultimate Warrior's 'One Warrior Nation'

3. Laugh

This was a bit unexpected, given the intense nature of Warrior€™s other rules. He says to make time for laughter in your life, and to even make fun of yourself as part of the endeavor. I like it! It makes me wonder what he thought of some of his wackier Ultimate Warrior promos. If he purposely made them beyond-coherent at times, just for the fun of it, or if he bought into all of it because he was living in the moment. As a kid watching his promos, even I knew they skewed on the ridiculous side. But I still found them highly entertaining, which, especially for a kid, is the whole point. He also mentions that if you have children, incorporating laughter into your life will be easy. Another insight into the softer side of Warrior, who was so very proud of being a father. As a wrestling fan who follows a lot of fellow fans on twitter/facebook/etc. I have noticed that a fair number of people suffer from anxiety, loneliness, and depression. I€™ve wondered if wrestling continues to be a go-to form of entertainment for adults who crave an escape from reality, and it also offers a bit of nostalgia from time to time. I know that I have turned back to wrestling more at trying times in my life, and while it may not elicit €œlaughter€, per se, it can be a great way to diffuse tension. Just a thought.
