WWE: 12 Life Lessons From Ultimate Warrior's 'One Warrior Nation'

12. Where To Begin: Clearly And Absolutely

Warrior seemed to value philosophies that could be categorized as €œpure and simple€. He called his blog €œWarrior€™s Machete€ as an homage to Ockham€™s Razor (the principle of being concise, and shaving away the unnecessary). His blog was unknown to me until taking this assignment, and so it was very interesting to explore this part of his life€™s work. For better or for worse, Warrior believed in precise principles that left little room for interpretation. His rules for life were very clear, to the point of being almost binary in nature. Do this, not that. Have the self-discipline to adhere to the rules in absolute terms. To question the rules is to show ambivalence, hence weakness. All of this extreme terminology sounds intimidating, and so I was curious to delve into the rest of the blog, and find out what this philosophy entailed. Following rules can be beneficial, as much as they can be detrimental €“ it all depends on what those rules are, and who you are. He referred to fellow rule-followers as One Warrior Nation (O.W.N.). Their mission is to €œrely on the genius within oneself€ and €œKILL any and all RESISTANCE€ that interferes with your life€™s purpose. There is an overwhelming amount of stuff to read on Warrior€™s site. Let€™s see if I can use my own €œmachete€ to break it down!
