WWE: 12 Most Ridiculous Sidekicks Ever

9. Moppy

Perry Saturn first came to the WWE in 2000 after jumping ship from WCW along with Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Dean Malenko. The four men were given the name the Radicalz, and they took part in many memorable segments during the early part of 2000. However, by 2001 the Radicalz had grown apart and Saturn needed a new direction. That direction became a storyline where he would fall in love with, yes, a mop. There are differing accounts as to why Saturn was given such a lame gimmick. One prevailing rumor is that he was given this direction as punishment for injuring Mike Bell, a WWE enhancement talent (job guy) for real in a match. As the storyline went, Saturn became mentally incapacitated after several beat downs from Raven and the APA (Bradshawn and Faarooq). This all was happening around the same time the hit Tom Hanks' movie Cast Away was released, where in the movie Hanks' character believes a volleyball (Wilson) is a real person. Saturn, in his mental haze, began to believe that the mop, which he named "Moppy", was a female and he fell in love with it, even choosing the mop over Terri Runnels at one point in time during the storyline. The angle came to an end when Raven put the mop through a woodchipper, ending both the love affair and the many painfully awful television segments that came with it.
