WWE: 12 Shocking Real-Life Incidents Wrestlers Want You To Forget

1. Bruiser Bedlam's Explosive Habits

"WHO????" is probably your initial reaction. It'd be most peoples, it was mine for a while. The man known as either Bruiser Bedlam or Johnny K-9 is a Canadian by the name of Ion Croitoru. His peak in wrestling was a jobber in the WWF, besides wrestling for other territorial promotions. And upon first glance, he appears positively mild. A bald, rotund jobber with plain black trunks and a Village People moustache. So why is this total unknown topping this list of violence, theft and murder? Because he blew up a police station, that's why! See, while he wasn't much as a wrestler, Croitoru was also the president of the Ontario chapter of the Satan's Choice Outlaw biker gang. Which basically means you take everything you ever saw in Sons Of Anarchy and you're not even close. But anyway, here's his made-for-TV rapsheet. He was arrested in the early '90s for assault and cocaine trafficking. In '96, himself and several other S.T.O. were ejected from a strip club for wearing their cuts and colours. They initially planned to blow up the strip club in retaliation, but then changed their minds on a whim and blew up the police station instead, injuring an officer and causing over $130,000 in damages. While awaiting trial for the bombing, he also racked up charges for assault, extortion, carrying a concealed weapon and breaking the conditions of his release. He also warranted enough attention to get a Mafia hitman sent after him. Make no mistake, he was a very busy chap, and naughty to boot. When finally brought to trial for the bombing, he was found guilty and sentenced to 33 months in prison. I'll repeat that: 33 months. For blowing up a police station. I'm not even counting his later, numerous charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, because if blowing up a police station isn't good enough, I don't know what is. So there you have it, twelve wrestlers who have been very, very bad. Disgusting, really. Thank God we have honest, law abiding wrestlers such as Rob Van Dam, Jack Swagger, Santino Marella, Jeff Hardy, Jake Roberts and X-Pac to keep us all on the straight and narrow, eh? Can you think of any more wrestling criminals? Let me know in the comments!
