WWE: 13 Worst Ever Tag Team Gimmicks In Wrestling History
9. Deuce And Domino
Deuce and Domino were a pair of 1950's greasers, who we were probably meant to believe were genuine time travellers - either that or they were just deluded fools who'd spent too much time watching Grease... It's hard to tell. It wasn't that the outfits were terrible, or even that they were terrible wrestlers, it just this gimmick made no sense. Their début was appalling, the crowd gave them no reaction at all, and JBL, on commentary at the time, was mocking the gimmick already. Even with their perky manager Cherry, who sometimes appeared on roller-skates, there was just nothing to like about this gimmick. They were even billed as being "From the wrong side of the tracks" - ironically also a phrase that hasn't been cool since the 1950's, when your grandparents told your parents to stop you hanging out with cool kids at school. Deuce and Domino did manage to pick up the WWE Tag Team Championships on one occasion, though for many fans it was during a real nadir in terms of the quality of tag teams, and they were quickly moved on, with neither individual spending much more time in the WWE.
