WWE: 13 Worst Ever Tag Team Gimmicks In Wrestling History

6. Rosey And Hurricane

There is always room in the WWE for a novelty act or a comedy act, and The Hurricane was one such star, who was good for a quick laugh and something different. Helm had already carried the WWE Tag Team Championship once with Kane as his partner, the pair calling themselves Hurri-Kane., and this classic mismatch pairing brought some laughs, but unfortunately Hurricane's next tag team did not. Hurricane started teaming with Rosey, formally of Three Minute Warning, forming a Superhero pairing who looked more homemade than super. Having the Hurricane as a deluded wrestler who believes he has super-powers was just about acceptable, but adding a 6'4 300 pound Samoan as his sidekick was just foolishness. Rosey was given his own costume, which appeared to be a large pair of pyjamas and a matching mask. The gimmick was that Helms was going to train Rosey in the ways of the super-hero, and with this in mind Rosey was named the "Super Hero In Training," and those of you who are quick with acronyms will see that WWE's classic infantile sense of humour in full effect here. The pair did manage to win the Tag Team Championships, though the competition was hardly at an all time high; their opponents at the time included Maven and Simon Dean as well as The Heart Throbs, hardly the zenith of tag team competition.
