WWE: 14 Greatest Ever Moments When Superstars Got Revenge

12. Stone Cold Attacks Booker T In A Supermarket

A month after WWE saw off The Alliance to claim ownership of both companies, the World Championships from both WWE and WCW were merged during a one night tournament at Vengeance 2001. Austin saw off his long-time rival Kurt Angle to take his WWE Championship into the unification match, whilst Chris Jericho captured The Rock's WCW Championship after interference from Mr McMahon himself. The same story applied to the final, as McMahon would again get involved but this time Raw's owner Ric Flair made the save to cancel him out. This didn't stop Booker T from costing Austin the match with a shot to the head from the WWE Championship to make Chris Jericho the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion. Austin had spent the Invasion as the leader of The Alliance, whilst Booker T was a fellow Alliance team-mate so this betrayal even more surprising as McMahon aligned himself with a WCW wrestler to try to get revenge on Stone Cold whom he viewed as a traitor. This move would reaffirm Austin as a fan favourite once again, as Austin returned to his previous brand of hell raising in his hunt for Booker T. Austin attacked Booker in a bingo hall and a church confessional but far and away his most memorable and entertaining location of revenge was the supermarket brawl. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKmUo9pTd3M The paranoid Booker T attacked a random bald shopper after believing him to be Stone Cold, before the real man showed up behind him and unleashed an attack that took full advantage of the unique surroundings. Shopping carts, refrigerators, 'That's Amore' and a "price check on jackass" were just some of the things on display. Whilst comedic, Austin's humiliating public attack on Booker T provided some much sought after revenge for the Texas Rattlesnake.
