After the Invasion angle wrapped up, WWE felt Dreamer couldn't just rest on his ECW past to stay relevant; despite being the "Innovator of Violence" Dreamer would need something else for fans to latch onto. The obvious solution, of course, would be to use a variety of backstage skits and promos to show a new side of Dreamer, as a man who liked to eat weird things including his own hair, hot dogs off the floor, and drink toilet water. The worst of it all was when the Undertaker interrupted Dreamer's mic time in 2002, and "inviting" him to take his gimmick a step further. After insulting Dreamer, the Undertaker presented his tobacco spit cup and insisted that Tommy drink the contents, including the rest of his tobacco wad, which he spit up into the cup before handing it over. In easily one of the top gross-out moments in WWE history, Dreamer took it and actually drank the entirety of the cup; wad, juices, and all, and seemed oddly pleased with the results. The act was so gross it even made the Undertaker begin to gag, and he's from Hell.
