3. Chanting A Repackaged Wrestler's Previous Gimmick Or Name
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHpIKb4sO5A This has ruined some characters when they've either returned to the WWE or been repackaged. Take in recent times - Tensai having "Albert" chanted at him after returning from a successful stint in Japan as Giant Bernard, or even Bray Wyatt having "Husky Harris" chants aimed at him when he debuted on the main roster (luckily he rose above it). Doing this serves no purpose whatsoever, and completely ruins the moment. Imagine if the crowd knew it was Glenn Jacobs under the mask when Kane debuted and chanted, "Isaac Yankem!" at him. It could have destroyed one of the most iconic characters in the history of WWE before the gimmick had even had the time to take off. Imagine if people chanted "Stunning Steve" at Austin before he became Stone Cold. It could have genuinely had catastrophic consequences to the future of the company if the Stone Cold gimmick didn't stick around. Chanting a previous gimmick achieves nothing, and undermines the whole production and the show. It's fine to be a smart mark fan, but don't let it ruin the experience for everyone else.
