1. "What?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6J4hpy_8h8 It wasn't funny when Stone Cold did it the first time, and it certainly doesn't merit still being chanted in 2014. The "What?" chants have ruined many good heel promos, and often aren't relevant or necessary. These chants, without doubt, are the most singularly annoying chants fans have to put up with (for over a decade!). These chants have become the bane of many a promo, and it takes a mic master to counter them (notable mentions go to Undertaker, "Say what again if you sleep with your sister" and Roddy Piper for owning the crowds when they tried to "What?" them). The annoying thing is that, as mentioned, they weren't funny when Stone Cold first did them! They were childish and irritating. Having the crowd "What?" an epic Mark Henry heel promo, or Damien Sandow pulling off some sterling mic work, completely detracts from the seriousness or intensity of a promo. The WWE production team do a regular job of muting out and editing in crowd reactions on their shows (often unnecessarily). Many fans would argue their efforts would be better led muting the "What?" chants once and for all. Sadly, the idiots who chant this show no signs of ceasing for the time being.
