WWE: 15 Reasons The Undertaker Streak Ended At WrestleMania 30

12. Lack Of Future Challengers

The big waste of money in the streak ending is the fact we will never get to see The Undertaker defend it against John Cena. However, was that ever really a viable option? Undertaker has worked with the likes of Punk, HHH and Michaels in the past few years because he needs an elite level worker to carry his tired body through a match. He worked Lesnar this year as a risk, and the match wasn't great at all. Going forward, there just wasn't the talent pool to keep giving Undertaker good matches at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan could have carried him but the timing just wasn't right for those men to meet any time soon. Bryan needs a run in the title scene for at least the next couple of years. As such, the Undertaker surveyed the scene and decided there wasn't anything left for him to do. He realized his best work was behind him and so he passed his heat on to Brock Lesnar.
