WWE: 15 Things That Would Greatly Improve WrestleMania

14. Long Term Planning

Something which has really marred the build for WrestleMania 30 has been awful planning. The fact they have been making the story up on a week to week basis is painfully obvious. Daniel Bryan has been the biggest example of WWE's lack of self confidence in their ability to plan right now, they have been chopping and changing his role throughout the last few months. It's crazy to think that they actually had him as part of the Wyatt family just a few months ago. It looks like the company have finally settled on him in the role we all want to see him in, but the inconsistent booking has arguably damaged the Mania 30 perception already. Long term planning should be advised for future WrestleMania feuds. Its no coincidence that WWE has done some of their best business when planning in advance. Steve Austin revealed in his 2003 autobiography that WWE planned every characters story out three years in advance during the Attitude Era. The dividends of this booking strategy where clear for all to see as WWF enjoyed their hottest period. Even just a couple of years ago when WWE booked Cena vs Rock with a three year plan it led to increased PPV buys, "once in a lifetime" was promoted over a year and became the highest grossing WWE PPV ever. Short term storytelling won't cut it, WWE need to think the long game when it comes to WrestleMania.
