WWE: 15 Things That Would Greatly Improve WrestleMania

15. Lay The Groundwork To Replace The Streak

So much of WrestleMania's success in recent years has hinged on the Undertaker streak being challenged. In many peoples eyes, this is now the real Mania main event, way bigger than the title match or any other contest on the card. How does the WWE go about replacing this big selling point once the 49 year old Mark Calaway retires? They need to create a new annual gimmick. It's something they must endeavour to do, and the groundwork for the replacement concept should start now, Taker has a few years at best left in him. One idea could be to develop out a new streak, the story is a proven draw. One young star who could carry the streak gimmick for the next generation is Roman Reigns. He's young enough to do so and owns his first win from WrestleMania 29. If WWE has any sense he gets his second Mania win at New Orleans. From there he should get his third win at WrestleMania 31, perhaps by winning the WWE Title. From that point he can be drawn out as a Mania streak holder, the man trying to replicate Undertaker's legendary legacy. The company are going to have to get creative, there's no easy solutions, but with the huge absence the streak will leave, it's going to need replacing.
