WWE: 15 Underrated PPVs You Should Catch On WWE Network

9. ECW One Night Stand 2005

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXHfuXCWGsk The ECWWE experiment ultimately petered out, but it started with a huge bang at the thought of what might have been if Paul Heyman hadn€™t been shackled at the re-launch of the third brand. This event was true ECW, shown in front of a packed Hammerstein Ballroom full of now-ROH fans. The show didn€™t miss a beat, bringing the true essence of ECW into the WWE€™s world. The shoot promos by RVD and Heyman were big highlights, but the real show-stealer was Sandman coming to the ring to €œEnter Sandman€ by Metallica. Outside of Mariano Rivera coming out of the bullpen to close baseball games for the Yankees (look it up, UKers!), there€™s no more appropriate use of the song than for Sandman€™s entrance. It€™s easily the best part of his shtick, and he was never the same once it was taken away from him. DVD releases of this show unfortunately had the music dubbed over because WWE didn€™t want to pay for the rights, but I€™m really hoping that the version that appears on the WWE network is authentic, because that was a moment that needs to be relived.
