WWE: 15 Wrestling Marvels Who Could Probably Get A Good Match Out Of A Mop

6. Daniel Bryan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhywAx6jy4I Hard as it may be to believe, there are a large number of WWE fans who don't rate Daniel Bryan as anything special. Hard to blame them, I suppose, his wrestling style has become more generic since he started there. But before he was The Goat, he was the American Dragon Bryan Danielson, and he was the king of the indies. He may be an underdog now, but you can hear the chant at the start of that match above as well as I can. The man was dominant. Bryan was trained by Shawn Michaels in his Texas Wrestling Academy, and later by William Regal in Memphis City Wrestling as part of a WWE developmental deal. When he was released from that, he competed all over the world, but most prominently in Ring Of Honour, where he would become known as one of the foundations of that promotion's early success. He would go on to hold the ROH World Heavyweight and ROH Pure Heavyweight championships, competing against the likes of Nigel McGuinness, Austin Aries, CM Punk and Christopher Daniels among others. In 2009, he debuted for WWE, and has since become one of the most popular babyfaces in the industry. His moveset may have evolved from submission-based to lots of kicking and running around, but as his match against Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble shows, he is still capable of excellent matches.
