WWE: 15 Wrestling Marvels Who Could Probably Get A Good Match Out Of A Mop
5. Kurt Angle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10ivQ3ogO1M It's tempting to prefix this entry by mentioning that he's an Olympic gold medallist and leaving it there, but that would be doing Angle a disservice. Besides, it wouldn't be professional, so on we go. After a strong amateur wrestling career (One Olympic gold, one FILA gold, one silver and one bronze) he began his pro-wrestling career for WWE in 1999, quickly winning King Of The Ring and the European, Intercontinental and WWE Championships within a year. During his time there, he would have amazing feuds against Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Brock Lesnar and Eddie Guerrero, as well as putting over younger talent like John Cena and Shelton Benjamin. The pinnacle of his wrestling skill came in the form of a 60 minute Iron Man match against Lesnar on Smackdown in 2003. He also had a great Street Fight against Shane McMahon at the King Of The Ring 2001. Later, he would head to TNA, where he would have amazing showcases against A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe. And did I mention he was an Olympic Gold Medallist??
Stephen Maher has been a rock star, a bouncer, a banker and a busker on various streets in various countries. He's hung out with Robert Plant, he was at Nelson Mandela's birthday and he's swapped stories with prostitutes and crack addicts. He once performed at a Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras by accident. These days, he passes the time by writing about music, wrestling, games and other forms of nerdery. And he rarely drinks the blood of the innocent.
