WWE 1999 PPVs From Worst To Best

5. Unforgiven

The Good: The six pack challenge main event was all sorts of fun and the best match of the card (as it should have been). On the undercard, Chris Jericho had a really good match with X-Pac (who was instructed to help Jericho learn the WWF style), Chyna had another good match, this time against Jeff Jarrett, and Edge and Christian worked well with The New Age Outlaws. The Bad: Three words: Kennel From Hell. The Big Bossman (who must be a candidate for worst wrestler of 1999) and Al Snow had a match inside a cage, inside Hell in a Cell, with vicious dogs surrounding the ring. The match sucked and, hilariously, the dogs would not behave and kept urinating and disobeying their trainers. The Dudleys had their first WWF match, against The Acolytes. Neither team was really over and they didn't have an ounce of chemistry together. The hardcore match between Ivory and Luna was a good concept, but it was too short to mean anything. The Rest: Conspicuous by his absence was The Undertaker, who began a lengthy lay-off to recover from injuries. Although, at the time, it was rumoured that he was WCW-bound. There was an interesting storyline/in-joke taking place throughout the show with the WWF referees 'on strike' because they were sick of being beaten up all of the time.
