The Good: Very, very little. The emerging Hardy's and The Brood (Edge and Christian) had a really good five minute match on the undercard, which was probably the best thing on the show from an in-ring perspective. These two teams would regularly steal the show later in the year. The Rock and The Undertaker had a typical Attitude Era brawl where they went all over the arena in lieu of actual, y'know, wrestling. 'Taker was really hurting at this point and would have to take a hiatus later in the year to recover from his injuries. The Bad: Oh God, where to start? Perhaps with one of the show's main selling points, the King of the Ring itself. The quarter and semi final matches were pure filler, each lasting only a few minutes. The final was a total washout, too. Billy Gunn beat former stablemate X-Pac in an epic five minutes to clinch the crown. WWE consistently tried to push Gunn and it never worked. He was one of the worst KOTR winners ever, second only to Mabel. The Steve Austin versus Shane and Vince McMahon ladder match main event has not aged well but is admittedly fun, in a goofy way. The Rest: The writing in the promotion at this point was very convolute and hard-to-follow and the in-ring action wasn't nearly the standard it would become in 2000. Amazingly, The insanely over Road Dogg and Chyna managed to have a decent match which featured the hilarious 'We can all say we saw Chyna get it doggie-style tonight' like from JR. And you thought you had to wait until One Night in Chyna to see that.
